THE CLIENT:

FITC for DMO Nigeria
FITC collaborated with the Debt Management Office (DMO) Nigeria for an organization design and development project. P4PE Institute served as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on this transformation initiative aimed at aligning DMO’s structures with its strategy and mandate.

THE CHALLENGE
DMO Nigeria faced challenges in optimizing its organizational structure to effectively fulfill its mandate in debt management. The existing structures needed assessment to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, efficiency, and adequacy. Additionally, DMO sought to benchmark against similar organizations and address gaps through an organization design framework.

THE SOLUTION
P4PE Institute, as the SME, conducted a comprehensive assessment of DMO’s current structures, benchmarked against local and global counterparts, and performed gap analysis. Based on organizational design principles, options were proposed for the corporate structure, with a focus on alignment with DMO’s mandate and strategy. Functional design, including activity descriptions, job roles, and objectives, was developed to streamline operations.

THE RESULT
The project yielded significant outcomes:
– Reports on the current assessment, gap analysis, and benchmarking provided insights into DMO’s organizational landscape.
– Proposed organization design options and functional design frameworks aligned structures with DMO’s mandate and strategic goals.
– Implementation/migration plans outlined steps for transitioning to the new structures, ensuring seamless integration and operational effectiveness.

DATE & DURATION
The project commenced on May 11, 2022, and lasted one and a half months.
