Maple Education Canada Inc. was incorporated in 2004 in Lagos Nigeria and later expanded across the country. Their service is to provide immigration admission to Nigerian students and jobs to the labour force in a hassle-free manner. Maple offers quality services in a conscientious, diligent and efficient manner. For over a decade, Maple has made it their business to help everyone whose desire is to either study or work abroad. They offer immigration advice and make sure to follow through on clients’ application processes. From filling out the first form to the stage where they are welcomed by the team on Canadian soil.

The Challenge

Maple Education Canada faces the challenge of adapting to shifting educational landscapes, performance, succession plans, evolving technologies, changing student needs, global competition, staff resignation, economic instability and Naira fluctuation.  The government of Canada also increased immigration standards. The challenges are critically affecting Maple Education Canada.

THE SOLUTION

To address the challenge, a 2-day retreat was brought together for the management team from all of the branches across Nigeria to collectively analyze the current state of the organization, identify challenges and opportunities, and develop a clear strategic roadmap for the future. Through collaborative discussions, brainstorming sessions, and data analysis, the retreat should enables Maple Education Canada to redefine its vision, mission, goals, and objectives. Additionally, it will help in prioritizing initiatives, allocating resources effectively, and establishing metrics to measure progress. By undertaking this strategic planning process, Maple Education Canada can positions itself to adapt to changing educational landscapes, innovate in response to evolving student needs, and enhance its competitiveness in the global education market.

Result

Maple Education Canada’s 2-day strategic planning retreat includes a comprehensive strategic plan that outlines clear objectives, initiatives, timelines, and key responsibilities to drive the organization forward.

Following the successful retreat session, the following deliverables were produced:

  • A 5-year strategic plan to serve as a roadmap for the organization’s future direction and growth.
  • A redefined vision, mission goal and objective for Maple Education Canada to equip them to address current challenges, capitalize on opportunities, and achieve its long-term goals.
  • A succession plan guide.
  • A framework for decision-making, resource allocation, and performance evaluation.
