THE CLIENT:
Nosak Farms (a subsidiary of the Nosak Group of companies) is a palm oil refinery based in Lagos Nigeria. The organisation sought to align its business processes with corporate objectives and prepare for ISO certification. Facing challenges in documenting systems and standards, the farm aimed to optimize its operations and establish a culture of high performance.
THE CHALLENGE
Nosak Farms, experiencing growth in its refinery division, lacked documented systems and standards essential for seamless performance management. The absence of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and HR policies hindered efficiency and posed a barrier to ISO certification. Key business processes, including raw material sourcing, palm oil refinery, and marketing, required streamlining.
THE SOLUTION
P4PE Institute proposed a comprehensive intervention focusing on business process management and people process management. This included validating the current operating model, conducting a process audit, developing SOPs and process manuals, and creating staff policies. The solution aimed to align operations with corporate strategy, optimize processes, and establish clear accountability.
THE RESULT
The implementation of the proposed solution led to significant improvements at Nosak Farms:
– Validated operating model and structure aligned with corporate objectives.
– Developed SOPs and process manuals for key business processes, enhancing efficiency and standardization.
– Established HR policies and an employee handbook, ensuring compliance and clarity in staff management.
– Positioned the refinery division for future growth and ISO certification, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
DATE & DURATION
