The Challenge
CFAO Nigeria Group is dealing with salaries and grading structure and needs to harmonise pay levels across the group.
An internal team is currently working in achieving this harmonisation. However, the business would require validation of the outcome through an independent and parallel development of the same job grading and payroll alignment.
the P4PE was called upon to design, develop and deliver the:
- Institution of a proper Job Grading
- Development of proper pay bands for its employees
The expected scope is to covered about 120 roles and more than 500 employees.
THE SOLUTION
To deliver the project, P4PE limited need to
- Carry out a comprehensive framework for evaluating job roles based on factors such as skills, responsibilities, and qualifications. This system results in a hierarchical structure that defines the relative importance and complexity of each role within the organization.
- Determine the competitive salary ranges for each graded role, taking into account market data, industry standards, and employee experience. These pay bands ensure fairness and equity in compensation across roles and departments.
Result
At the end of the exercise, P4PE produced a comprehensive Job harmonised document, Pay band and role grade accross the group

The implementation of this solution leads to harmonized pay levels across the organization, increased transparency in salary structures, and improved employee satisfaction. It provides a clear framework for career progression and helps attract and retain top talent by offering competitive compensation aligned with industry standards.
